The main objective of the platform Energía Positiva+, a pioneer in Spain, is to support startups in the development of projects, from the perspective of energy and in the areas of environmental sustainability, mobility, social impact, digitalization, telecommunications and 4.0. The initiative, promoted by Enagás, Red Eléctrica, CLH, Iberdrola, BP, EIT InnoEnergy and Acciona, is open to other companies and institutions.

A number of companies in the Spanish energy sector have joined together to fight the effects of the crisis caused by the coronavirus. To this end, they have created Energía Positiva+ Initiative, a pioneering initiative in our country because it articulates innovation as the main tool to provide effective responses to help mitigate the economic and social impact of COVID-19.

This platform is initially promoted by Red Eléctrica, Enagás, CLH, Iberdrola, BP, EIT InnoEnergy and ACCIONA, and institutions such as Startup Olé, ASCRI, El Referente and Socios Inversores. All these companies have already confirmed their collaboration. In addition, Energia Positiva+ Initiative is also open to other companies and organizations that wish to join.

Participating corporations, through their subsidiaries or technology departments/corporate venturing teams, are launching this urgent call to attract and financially support startups and scaleups with innovative projects that can be launched immediately and developed and implemented within a maximum of one year. The projects supported must be related, from an energy perspective to the fields of environmental sustainability, mobility, social impact, digitalization, telecommunications and 4.0, and must contribute to mitigating the economic and social effects caused by the COVID-19.

Each of the corporates will support at least one startup/scaleup by providing funding for the development of the project and/or through its innovation, investment, commercial development and structure tools.

The deadline for the reception of proposals is open from today until April 19th. The objective is to speed up the project selection process as much as possible so that they can start working from the second half of May.
