ACCIONA brings the 2025 edition of the North America Innovation Awards (NAIA) to a close — a program designed to recognize bold ideas, real business challenges, and the talent driving innovation across the company in the region.
Throughout the event, the finalist teams presented projects with a strong operational impact in areas such as digital twins, water quality monitoring, traffic management, and project integration. The NAIA has become a movement to embed innovation into corporate culture, connecting people and data to build smarter and more sustainable infrastructure for the future.
Recognizing talent and collaboration
The winners of this edition — Daniel A. Siljeström Calero, Juan Carlos Rojas Castillo, Raúl Balfagón Sanmartín, and Ignacio Beneyto Espinosa de los Monteros — stood out for their project’s transformative potential and its direct applicability within ACCIONA’s operations.
The outstanding work of the finalists — Du Plooy de Lange, Yolanda Golmakani, Maral Munkhuu, Mahshid Mahjoub, Robin van Donselaar, Lynda Hanley, Nisarg Shah, Brad Nadeau, Tyler Lee, Cody Slote-Roberts, Dario Barac, and Tobias Chau — was also recognized, showcasing the breadth of innovative talent across North America.
The gala featured guest judges Nat Cartwright and Cam Melvin, and was supported by Carlos Planelles, Managing Director of ACCIONA North America, who emphasized the importance of creating spaces where innovation is celebrated and shared.
