On 16 October, Fernando Cortabitarte, Director of ACCIONA’s Water Cycle, will open the Strategic Dialogues at Future4 Water 2025, a forum organized by RETEMA. The event will take place at Espacio Caminos, at the Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos in Madrid, and will bring together the main stakeholders in the sector to analyse the future of water management in Spain.

In its second edition, Future4 Water 2025 consolidates a programme structured around strategic dialogues and thematic panels aimed at addressing challenges such as infrastructure modernisation, resilience to water scarcity and compliance with sustainability targets.

With more than 25 years of experience in operations, desalination and service delivery, Fernando Cortabitarte will share ACCIONA’s roadmap in an agile conversation format, focusing on the company’s current and future plans, the sector’s main challenges and the role of digitalisation in improving water cycle management.

Digitalisation of the water cycle. ACCIONA is strengthening its technological capabilities through partnerships with companies specialising in automation, software and industrial cybersecurity, with the goal of optimising process control, advanced operations and the protection of critical environments across the entire water cycle.
