ACCIONA’s Open Innovation team took part in the 2024 edition of B-Venture, the largest entrepreneurship and investment event in northern Spain, held on October 15–16 at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao.
During the event, Ana Jado from ACCIONA’s Open Innovation team participated in the roundtable “Transforming Together: Alliances Between Corporations and Startups,” where she shared insights from the I’MNOVATION program and the key factors that have helped the company consolidate an agile, scalable, and results-oriented collaboration model.

In her remarks, Ana Jado highlighted the importance of building trust-based relationships that create mutual value between large corporations and startups:
“Open innovation only makes sense when it translates into impact: into real projects, joint pilots, and new business opportunities that bring value both to the entrepreneurial ecosystem and to the corporation itself.”
The panel, moderated by Josu Cano Berasaluce (CaixaBank DayOne), also featured representatives from Mondragon Ventures, Mutua Madrileña, and Sidenor, who discussed the main challenges and lessons learned from corporate–startup collaboration: cultural integration, strategic alignment, and risk management in co-innovation processes.
B-Venture 2024 brought together more than 60 startups, investors, and leading corporations in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. Organized by El Correo with the support of Sprilur, Euskaltel, and CaixaBank DayOne, the event has become one of Spain’s leading innovation ecosystem gatherings.
ACCIONA’s participation in this edition reinforces its commitment to open innovation and its active role in building partnerships that positively transform society through sustainable infrastructures designed to address the challenges of the climate crisis.
