The Andean edition focuses specifically on initiatives carried out in countries such as Chile, Colombia and Peru, assessing aspects such as technical innovation, impact on local communities and contribution to sustainability objectives.
These nominations reflect ACCIONA’s continued commitment to developing innovative solutions that address the region’s challenges: from implementing low-carbon construction practices to creating training programs and infrastructure projects with a strong social and environmental focus. The diversity of categories in which the company has been nominated demonstrates an integrated approach in which technical innovation goes hand in hand with social impact and sustainability.
Context of the nominations
The selection of these four projects as finalists is based on an assessment of technical criteria, social impact and alignment with energy transition and sustainability objectives. Each project addresses specific challenges in the Andean region’s infrastructure sector, from reducing the carbon footprint in construction to promoting gender equity and providing access to basic services in rural areas.
The winners will be announced soon at the official GRI Institute awards ceremony.
