ACCIONA actively participated in 4YFN Barcelona 2026, the global entrepreneurship and innovation platform held from 2 to 5 March at Fira de Barcelona (Gran Via) within the framework of the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the world’s largest technology and communications event organised by GSMA, which this year marks its 20th edition.
4YFN (Four Years From Now) is the startup platform integrated into MWC that connects startups, investors, corporates and public entities to drive innovation, facilitate networking, generate business opportunities and accelerate the growth of emerging technology projects. Its objective is to serve as a global meeting point for the entrepreneurial ecosystem, fostering connections, talent and funding in an international environment.
In this context, Ana Jado Puente – Open Innovation Lead at ACCIONA – represented the company in a reverse pitch session, where she presented ACCIONA’s collaboration opportunities with innovative startups to an audience of entrepreneurs and ecosystem stakeholders. The session also featured Cristian Ull (Área 101), Guillermo Berlanga (Nealis), Aitor Jiménez (Baskonia Alavés Group), Roberto Gómez (Moeve), Bernat Fernández (TBM) and Salomé Valero (Kyndryl).
ACCIONA’s intervention focused on I’MNOVATION, the company’s corporate open innovation programme that connects startups with its different business units to develop real pilots in construction sites and operational environments, with continuous technical support and funding. Active since 2017 and now in its ninth edition, the programme has identified more than 2,800 startups and executed over 65 pilot projects, enabling the validation of disruptive technologies in real environments.
Through its participation in 4YFN, ACCIONA reinforces its commitment to the international entrepreneurial ecosystem and to corporate collaboration, continuing to promote solutions that enhance sustainability, efficiency and applied innovation in key sectors such as infrastructure, water and services.
Being present at 4YFN and the Mobile World Congress places ACCIONA in direct contact with startups, investors and technology leaders from around the world, creating opportunities for collaboration and mutual scaling in a high-impact global setting.
