It is ideally suited to the construction of port caissons, as it delivers the strength development required for sliding while supporting sustainable construction (it incorporates recycled materials and requires less energy to produce).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"513\" data-end=\"555\"><strong>More durable, lower-maintenance structures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"557\" data-end=\"769\">This material helps to produce more durable, lower-maintenance structures. The use of sustainable concrete significantly reduces CO\u2082 emissions and contributes to extending the service life of port infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"793\"><strong>Exceptional dimensions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"1139\">The \u20ac54 million contract provides for the extension of the current 510-metre quay to 1,100 metres, reaching a total yard area of 40 hectares for container traffic. To achieve this, eight reinforced-concrete caissons will be built, each more than 63 metres long, 24 metres wide and 20.5 metres deep\u2014roughly the height of a seven-storey building.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1141\" data-end=\"1396\">This project is expected to strengthen the port\u2019s logistics capacity and operational efficiency, while boosting local maritime trade. It reflects ACCIONA\u2019s strong commitment to sustainable development and the continuous improvement of port infrastructure.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\r\n\r\n        \r\n    <\/div>\r\n\r\n
