THE SPANISH SCALEUP ECOSYSTEM RANKS FIFTH IN EUROPE IN REGARDS TO THE NUMBER OF COMPANIES AND SIXTH BY CAPITAL AMASSED.

Spain has a young ecosystem made up by small scaleups.

It is the only european country with two cities among the main european scalp hubs, barcelona and madrid, which mean 85% of this type of company and 95% of capital invested. In order to stimulate the growth of the ecosystem, it is key to have more support by the stock exchange, in addition to a bigger cooperation between companies and startups, and a culture change to that of open innovation. These are the main conclusions from the report done by mind the bridge in collaboration with acciona, “Tech scaleups Spain 2018”
